Security Architecture During Design, Not After

Originally posted on LinkedIn

What if security architecture happened during the design — not after it?

One of the biggest taxes on an enterprise architect’s time isn’t architecture. It’s documentation.

So we started taking the paperwork out of the process with AI.

Meetings are captured automatically. AI summarizes stakeholder discussions and decisions. An agent then interviews the architect, captures the design intent and tradeoffs, and drafts the HLD.

But the bigger opportunity is embedding security into that same workflow.

As the architecture develops, AI can continuously evaluate it against current security policies, standards, and guardrails — flagging misalignments, risks, and potential policy changes while decisions are being made, not at the end.

The architect still reviews and signs off.

AI drafts. AI checks. AI challenges. The architect decides.

The goal isn’t to replace architects. It’s to give them more time to architect.

How much faster could your architecture process move if documentation and policy analysis happened automatically in the background?
